Programs that Government Funds

Funded Agencies

• BC Games – The Branch provides funding to the BC Winter Games, BC Summer Games, BC Seniors Games, BC Disability Games and Northern BC Winter Games.
• Coaches Association of BC – coaching support to the Coaches Association of BC and the National Coaching Institute for National Coaching Certification Programs throughout British Columbia.
• PacificSport Group – a network of two national and seven regional sport centres that provide paid coaches and athlete services (such as sport science and medicine) to high performance athletes across the province.
• Organization support – Government provides funding to provincial and multi-sport and recreation organizations that service athletes, participants and community clubs and teams across British Columbia. These organizations include Sport BC, BC Recreation and Parks Association, ProMOTION Plus, Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Association of BC, BC School Sports and provincial sport organizations such as the BC Amateur Hockey Association and Cerebral Palsy Sports Association of B.C.
