Sports, Coaches Association of BC, SportMed BC, BC Games
Society, provincial sport organizations and others –
have worked hard to promote an athlete-centred,
playground-to-podium integrated system of achievement
for British Columbians. An athlete pathway includes

governing bodies such as Soccer BC and BC Amateur Hockey
Association, etc.) and local sport clubs and
organizations also provide leadership in providing
technical skill development, coaching, competition
opportunities and other programs and services that are
critical in helping athletes develop to their potential.
One of the keys to athletic success is having a
certified, experienced coach to help prepare and
implement long-term athlete development plans for
her/his athletes. For more information about coaching,
contact the
Coaches Association of BC.
PacificSport Group’s network of regional and national
