The branch is involved with a wide range of
initiatives.
Specific plans and initiatives:

Aboriginal FIRST – four Aboriginal
Future in Recreation and Sport Training
programs.

BC Athlete Assistance Program/Premier’s
Athletic Awards – financial support to
British Columbia athletes striving to represent
British Columbia and Canada in athletic
competition.
- Education Initiatives – several
initiatives designed to help British Columbians
learn skills and participate in physical
activity and sport.

External Sport Credits – high school
students can earn credits toward graduation by
participating in provincial, national and
international competitions.

Sport Event Hosting and Resort Guide
– help for training and event organizers from
around the world to find suitable locations to
host their event and/or training camps.

SportSafe – a set of tools to help
create a safer environment for kids in sport.

Team BC – information on British
Columbia’s teams for the Canada Games, Canada
Western Summer Games, and North American
Indigenous Games.
