On September 29, 2003 Priorities for Action in Managing the Epidemics: HIV/AIDS in British Columbia 2003-2007 was released. This document promotes a harm reduction approach to preventing the incidence of HIV and treating people with HIV/AIDS. The annual progress reports for Priorities for Action are located below:

  • The 2007 Annual Progress Report is the fourth and final annual report on the province’s HIV/AIDS policy framework and reports on several indicators related to B.C.’s four goals in prevention, care/treatment, capacity and collaboration.
  • The 2006 Annual Progress Report is the third annual report on the province’s HIV/AIDS policy framework and provides an update to B.C.'s four goals in the areas of prevention, care/treatment, capacity and collaboration.
  • The 2005 Annual Progress Report provides an overview and analysis of patterns in new HIV infections and access to treatment and care services at both the provincial and regional level for the 2005 calendar year. The report also examines progress in achieving each of the PFA framework’s four provincial goals.
  • The 2004 Progress Report is the first annual review of progress related to implementing the key strategies of Priorities for Action. The report provides an overview of HIV incidence and examples of initiatives that tie into the directional document's strategic priorities.
